Escape from Tarkov Error 260 | Servers Temporarily Unavailable

It’s not always easy being an Escape from Tarkov fan. Sometimes the game glitches or crashes; other times it won’t load, or simply refuses to connect. In the case of error 260, it seems as if the game can’t even contact the servers. What does Escape from Tarkov error 260 mean, and what should you do when you find the servers temporarily unavailable? Read on to find out.

Escape from Tarkov | Error 260 Servers Temporarily Unavailable

Escape from Tarkov error 260 servers temporarily unavailable
Escape from Tarkov error 260 appears when the game client cannot reach the game’s servers. That’s why the message says “servers temporarily unavailable.” Most of the time, error 260 appears during unplanned server outages.
Error 260 is very closely tied with error 213. In fact, both errors tend to appear around the same time and under the same circumstances. As you may expect, both of these errors show up when servers go down.
Fortunately, neither error 260 nor error 213 correspond to any problem with the game client itself. Breathe easy: There’s probably nothing wrong with your PC. These errors both correspond to server-side network issues, and they tend to appear when an update to Escape from Tarkov is being deployed.
As such, there’s nothing you need to do to fix error 260. You’ll be able to reconnect to the game once the game’s servers have stabilized. However, if you suspect that your game software or home network is causing the issue, it’s worth checking on the current server status. Websites like DownDetector can help you rule out any local issues, and the Battlestate Games Twitter account will keep you up-to-date on any planned server maintenance.
If you run into Escape from Tarkov error 260, don’t fret. The servers are temporarily unavailable, either for maintenance or due to an unplanned outage. You should be able to reconnect to the game as soon as the servers come back online.

Is there an Escape from Tarkov stuck on leaving the game error fix?

Errors in games are never welcome, but when one comes along that doesn’t let you leave the game, it’s very annoying. That’s what’s happening with the Escape from Tarkov stuck on leaving the game error. In this guide, we take a look at whether there is an Escape from Tarkov stuck on leaving the game error fix or not. Read on to find out if there is anything you can do to fix the error which leaves you stuck on the leaving screen of Escape from Tarkov.

Is there an Escape from Tarkov stuck on leaving the game error fix?

Escape from Tarkov stuck on leaving the game
There is no one fix that has worked for everyone who has encountered the Escape from Tarkov stuck on leaving the game error. There are a couple of different fixes that have worked for some people, however. We can suggest, for example, that you simply try to restart the game (if you manage to actually exit the game). The bug appears to be causing the game to crash on the leaving screen, making it so you cannot exit the game. If you get stuck like this, you will probably need to hard reset your PC by holding down its power button to shut it down.

ALSO: PS5 reveal event postponed to unspecified date
If restarting the game doesn’t work, there is another fix that has worked for some, but not others. Verifying the integrity of your game files within the Battlestate Games Launcher. While this could work, as already said, it hasn’t for many players, just for some. Another potential fix could simply be to wait for the Raid to end. The game could be forcing you to wait for the raid to end. Another theory is that the game is undergoing server issues or maintenance.
Whatever the reason behind the error, the development team is aware of the issue. Battlestate Games took to Twitter back in 2018 to tell us that it is aware of the problem. While, clearly, the bug hasn’t been eradicated since then, it’s nice to know that the company is at least aware of the problem. We might just have to wait for the error to be fixed, no matter how long it takes. Hopefully, then, one of the fixes above works for you.

Is there an Escape from Tarkov single-player mode?

Escape from Tarkov single-player
There is no single-player campaign mode in Escape from Tarkov. There is, however, an offline mode. The offline mode is meant for practice against and with AI players. Ideally, you will practice in the game’s offline mode before heading online. Playing the game this way ought to give you an understanding of the maps and feel of different weapons before you take it all on in an unfriendly online setting. There is technically a single-player mode in Escape from Tarkov, then, but it is not a story/campaign mode. It is planned, though, that story quests of some kind will be added into the game at some point.

We don’t know when the story quests will be added to Escape from Tarkov, nor do we know what form they will take. We might see campaign quests that tell a story during online play, for example. Sides to the main of the online modes. The planned story quests could come in the form of single-player levels, too. All we know is that as of May 2020 (as per this Reddit thread), Escape from Tarkov story quests are planned. No time-frame or further details have been given as of writing.
For now, the only Escape from Tarkov single-player offering is the game’s offline mode, which is meant for practice. We’ll have to wait and see if a full single-player story/campaign mode is added to the game in the future.

Can you get a refund for Escape from Tarkov in 2020?

If you’re not a fan of the game, or it simply doesn’t work on your PC, you’ll be wondering if you can get an Escape from Tarkov refund or not. In this guide, we’ll let you in on the answer to “can you get a refund for Escape from Tarkov in 2020?” Read on to find out if you can receive a refund for Escape from Tarkov or not in 2020.

Can you get an Escape from Tarkov refund in 2020?

Escape from Tarkov refund
Almost definitely not. It’s exceedingly unlikely that you will be able to receive a refund for Escape from Tarkov in 2020. Many people have tried to get a refund for the game in the past, and many people have failed to do so. It’s something of a notorious game for being able to get a refund, unfortunately. If you act very quickly (the same day you purchase the game), you might get lucky, but it’s unlikely. You can apply for a chargeback directly through your credit card provider or PayPal if no refund is given. This process will take longer than a standard refund and you will need a valid reason for applying.
ALSO: No Man’s Sky Cross-Play & Xbox Game Pass opens a new world for everyone
Taking a quick look at the game’s Reddit threads, it’s clear to see that many have tried to get a refund, and equally as many have failed to do so. It appears as though there is no refund policy. Please do make sure your PC can run Escape from Tarkov before you buy it. If it doesn’t run, you are incredibly unlikely to receive a refund. As stated above, you can try to claim a refund on the same day as purchase if the game doesn’t work on your PC. You can try to email support@battlestategames.com, but the company is notoriously slow at responding and not keen to issue refunds.
From the game’s license agreement, section 11.1 (under term, amendment and cancellation of the agreement) states that “If the Agreement is canceled in the manner specified in this clause or on the grounds of other clauses hereof or by law, Battlestate Games Limited does not refund the User or reimburse any losses.” You have ten days to cancel the agreement with a written statement, after that, there are zero refunds, is what it reads like. It appears, too, that it is up to Battlestate Games whether your case is right for a refund.
The bottom line is that an Escape from Tarkov refund is incredibly unlikely to be given. We’re no lawyers, so it is difficult to make sense of the lengthy terms and conditions. If you want a refund, though, we suggest that it is all-but-impossible beyond ten days of purchasing the game and highly unlikely (see: not gonna happen) within ten days. Raise your issues by emailing Battlestate Games via the address given above.

Is Escape from Tarkov free-to-play?

Is Escape from Tarkov free-to-play? This question has been on many players’ minds after hearing about the game or watching it on streams. After all, some of the hottest games in the world right now are using the free-to-play model. But is the same true for the Battlestate Games first-person shooter? Is Escape from Tarkov free, or will it launch as a free-to-play game?

ALSO: How to download Escape from Tarkov
Some might think it’s a bit silly to ask if Escape from Tarkov is free, but the question is valid. The game has been wildly popular on streaming platforms such as Twitch or Mixer, which lumps it together with games that are actually free-to-play, such as Fortnite: Battle Royale or Apex Legends. Still, this is just a matter of association, not an indication of how much the game costs.
Escape from Tarkov is currently available for preorder purchase in four different editions. The price starts at $44.99 for the Standard Edition and goes all the way up to $139.99 for the Edge of Darkness Limited Edition. Regardless of which version you choose, the game will come bundled with an assortment of different equipment and items. For more details, check out our guide detailing the Escape from Tarkov price and bundle differences.
Sorry, folks: Escape from Tarkov is not free. Don’t let its association with other free-to-play games confuse you, as you’ll need to spend money if you want to download and play it. If buzz around the internet is any indication, the game is well worth the purchase. But if you’re still on the fence, try watching some streams to determine if Battlestate Games’ FPS release is right for you.

Is Escape From Tarkov Coming to Steam?

Escape From Tarkov has been dominating the Twitch scene recently, but if you check Steam to try to get in on the action, you won’t find anything. If it’s not on PC’s biggest storefront, then where is everyone getting Escape From Tarkov on PC?

Is Escape From Tarkov on Steam?

Escape From Tarkov is currently not available on Steam. Because the game is still in beta, it’s only available through its own launcher. The game is definitely coming to the platform sometime in the future, but considering how long the game has been in beta, it’s likely that the schedule has shifted around a bit since the developers last mentioned it.
When asked about a Steam release in a 2016 interview with Wccftech, developer Pavel Dyatlov explained that the tactical shooter will make its way to the platform once the full release happens. “We will first release the game on our platform and then we will launch on Steam, that’s the plan,” said Dyatlov. Dyatlov also toyed with the idea of Escape From Tarkov coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but he then clarified console ports will only happen after the full PC launch if they do become a reality. With development taking longer than expected, console ports have gotten more and more unlikely, but a Steam release is still very much on the way according to an FAQ on the game’s official website.
As for a release date, the FAQ states that the game will undergo some beta testing on Steam, meaning it will probably be released there sometime before the full 1.0 launch. It’s also worth noting that both versions of the game will share the same servers, so the playerbase won’t be divided based on their launcher choices. Despite a lengthy period of radio silence on the topic, Escape From Tarkov is in all likelihood still slated to get a Steam release in the future, although an exact timeframe still remains to be seen.

Escape From Tarkov devs reveal Flea Market changes in June 19 update

Escape from Tarkov devs Battlestate Games have revealed a few changes to the Flea Market following the most recent technical update, though, some fans aren’t too pleased with what has been changed.
With Escape From Tarkov being ever-changing, Battlestate Games are continually new updates to add new content, make sure that things run smoothly, and generally ensure that the shooter and looter title is balanced for both new and veteran players.
However, their most recent technical update has sparked a little bit of backlash after the devs decided to make some pretty big changes to the way the Flea Market works – specifically, with what items players can sell.
Battlestate Games
The Flea Market and Traders are used to build up cash in EFT.
With the technical update dropping on June 19, the devs noted that now, players can only sell guns on the flea market if they were found in a raid. On top of that, the ability to barter with the flea market is also limited to items that are found in a raid.

This means that items that are looted following a kill on another player, are no longer eligible to be sold on the flea market. This has, obviously, upset a few players who had modeled their play style around killing enemies and selling the unneeded gear.

The technical update is complete.

Changes:

1. From now on you can sell guns on the flea market only if it was found in raid.
2. Barter on the flea market is only possible with found in raid items.
3. Various technical improvements of anti-cheat system https://twitter.com/bstategames/status/1273982581562884096

Some players suggested that the flea market would completely become a thing of the past because of these changes as it has pretty much become rendered useless.

Others pleaded with the Devs that an update should be made to make enemy gear count as  ‘found in raid’ items so that they can continue to play in the same way as before, but, perhaps, cut the prices of those items.

In the next update we will be removing the flea market and in 12.8 there will no longer be any loot or traders.

You need to make it so if you kill a pmc there loot is considered found in raid, cause logically if you kill and get there loot in raid you technically found it in raid, it would make fighting so much more with it

However, some fans backed the changes from Battlestate, noting that the game is purposefully meant to be difficult and that these changes only ramp up the difficulty.

The complaints make me laugh. Game is supposed to be hard. The game is built for you to die and not make it out. When you do you can still USE the PMC'a you killed gear or sell it to traders. Maybe make traders give more money or make ammo cheaper is only thing I'll give into

Of course, with the changes only being in their infancy, it’s unknown as to whether or not the devs have considered reverting things.

We’ll just have to wait and see if it turns enough players off of playing Tarkov to be considered a major problem.
